• Thought leaders

Amberlight has been at the forefront of the user experience debate since 1999.

We have pioneered various new methodologies over the years including our Active Testing process for iterative design in an Agile framework.

Our consultants are well known on the international conference scene and involved in various industry bodies such as the UPA and government think tanks such as the BIS eAccessibility forum.

  • Ancient history?

We are a well established company and have been around since 1999. The web was very different then. GeoCities and Excite were top ten websites; eBay and Google weren’t.

Of course we‘ve also changed over the years – we’ve grown, our services have evolved and we’ve gained experience across many industries and platform.

One thing hasn’t changed though: our commitment to delivering the highest quality of advice and support to our clients.

  • Ethical business practices

Fairness underpins the Amberlight way. Fairness to our clients, to our employees and to the general public.

We are always open with our clients about the advantages and disadvantages of our methodologies, and where we outsource or incur expenses these are passed on transparently.

We nurture the careers of our staff all of whom have personal training budgets which they manage.
And we actively promote accessible and inclusive design as being good practice and good business sense.

  • Profitable and cash positive

Amberlight is a successful company that has expanded steadily over the years in terms of staff and revenues. We weathered the recent recession, growing slightly year on year.

We are not ashamed to make a profit every year; but because we are privately owned much of this profit is reinvested in the business, in the form of staff bonuses and investment in services and equipment.
