Good design is the result of a structured, user-centred process. Our consultants are available to advise you on internal processes, or on how to ensure quality from external suppliers.

Procedure

We can focus on either your general design process or a particular project. The engagement may comprise anything from an hour-long meeting to a series of workshops explicitly detailing a team for the project, their role and the deliverables that can be expected. This may include in-person support for recruitment or quality assessment.

We will work with you to understand the current state of the project, and its organisational context. Our recommendations will be worked through with you very closely in order to understand you have an actionable plan going forward.

Outcomes

The outcome is a bespoke process that will ensure your future product is useful, accessible, usable, and has relevant supra-functional properties. We can communicate this process in any format. Our preferred approach (time allowing) is PRINCE2.

We will inevitably define a number of user-centred design activities as part of the process. Naturally, Amberlight will be happy to conduct these for you. However, this is not necessary: we can build in quality criteria such that any other appropriate party can fulfil these components. As part of the process, we may identify training needs such that members of your team can conduct these activities themselves.
