SmartTradeApp

Designing an innovative mobile card reader

 

Situation:

  • The founders of SmartTradeApp had identified an attractive market, and an effective technical solution, but both adoption and churn were a challenge

Action:

  • After reviewing the system and meeting with our team, the Board asked us to bring a Lead Designer into the team

Result:

  • In six months the entire system had been re-designed and launched, the numbers exceeded stretch targets and SmartTradeApp won 2016 Mobile Payment Solution of the Year

Case study - supporting the transformation of UK Policing

 

Situation:

  • To deliver the National Police Chief’s Councils Vision for 2025, a deep understanding of the public and police needs for a modern police service is required

Action:

  • A team of security cleared user researchers was provided to provide evidence of the needs of both the public, and the police

Results:

  • A Senior Risk Owner was provided with evidence that a proposed programme was unlikely to deliver the value anticipated, which enabled him to redirect the budget (Estimated savings of >£2million)

  • Foundational evidence is being developed to inform the approach to meeting the NPCC’s Policing Vision 2025
